The foreign company ALCAN, specialized in marketing aluminium products made a donation of RMB 50000 to the village of Jiezhuquan in Yanchi County. This money will serve to implement a rural integrated development plan. It is PlaNet Finance, which has been providing capacity buildings assistance to CEPA, that introduced CEPA to ALCAN and permit this donation.
 
　　In July 2006, to the light of the positive results of the pilot project of the ＾CDMA Rural Technology Initiative￣, the American company QUALCOMM senior manager Shawn Covell accompanied with other regular staff members came to Ningxia to distribute 200 cell phones to empower CEPA and PlaNet Finance¨s network of microfinance workers and loan recipients
 
　Last August, our microcredit staff members, went to the countryside to distribute the six-month loans to rural women: The picture shows a women signing her contract, granting her a loan of RMB1000.
 
 
 
　The Ningxia Center for the Environment and Poverty Alleviation is the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region¨s largest independent Chinese NGO. Its mission is to support rural communities in overcoming the interconnected problems of gender inequality, poverty, and the environment. Using a participatory approach, the Center works with individual villages to increase their capacity to identify problems and develop solutions that work in a local context. It then provides financial and technical support to assist the villagers in implementing these projects, mainly in the fields of microfinance, the environment, and education.
